The National Sea Grant Depository

Loan Procedures

  1. Telephone, mail, email, and interlibrary loan requests are welcome. Please print or type and use letterhead if possible. All requests should include: Name, Address, and Telephone Number.

  2. For each document requested include the: Title, Author, Year, Publishing Sea Grant Program and any known Document Numbers.

  3. Most publications in the collection are available for a one month loan (limit of 10 documents). Special items, such as video tapes, are loaned for two week periods.

  4. There are no fees for borrowing. However, the patron is responsible for fees in returning documents and the replacement cost for any lost or damaged materials.

  5. The Depository does not provide personal copies (or photocopies) but will direct the patron to the correct originating Sea Grant Program. To avoid having your request being returned to you for clarification, be sure to indicate that you wish to borrow from our library.

  6. For some of our publications, you may be asked to request an interlibrary loan through your local library.

*Please return borrowed publications in a padded envelope, if possible, to ensure safe arrival to our office.
