Throughout the year, CBL offers a variety of seminar programs.

  • Seminar descriptions

    Category to house any seminar descriptions created as content items

  • Distinguished scholars seminar series

    Hosted by CBL's faculty and students, the Distinguished Scholar Seminar Series is targeted to those individuals looking for a more challenging educational experience. Invited speakers, from nationally and internationally renowned academic institutions, present their research in one hour long lecture style seminars.

  • Brown bag seminar series

    Host by CBL's graduate students, the Brown Bag Seminar Series is an informal, lunch time seminar series for faculty and students from academic and research institutions. This series provides an opportunity for CBL researchers to hear and discuss the work being conducted at the lab. The majority of presentations are from graduate students, who present either research proposals, summaries of recent work or completed project overviews.

  • Science Socials

    Hosted by CBL's Outreach Program, the Science Socials are informal discussions over lite fare with CBL and UMCES faculty and students. Topics vary from current research findings and the development of new techniques and applications to other broader points of Bay interest. Presentations are no longer than 30 minutes in length and are geared toward general audiences.
